05: Vatican City

It is the smallest country in the world with a population of just over 800. There is not much space for a plane to land, nor is there any river or sea for alternative means of transport. It is also one of the few countries that can be covered entirely on foot. Don't worry though, as it is surrounded by other airports, including Ciampino and Fiumicino, which are less than 30 minutes away by train.

04: Monaco

Monaco is the second smallest country in the world after the Vatican, it is surrounded by France on three sides and has no airport of its own. Anyone wishing to explore Monaco will need to book a taxi or take a boat after landing at France's Nice Côte d'Azur Airport.

San Marino, located near the Vatican, is one of the oldest states in the world. San Marino, which is completely surrounded by Italy, has no access to the sea. Because it's so small, it doesn't have an airport. Fortunately, all of San Marino is flat and has a dense road network that guides people from San Marino and gives them access to Italy in all directions.

One of the closest airports is Rimini in Italy. Although it is small, it has a number of other airports nearby, such as Florence, Bologna, Venice and Pisa, which are also frequently used by locals and tourists visiting the country.
